Debrza Reserve is a small but charming forest area located on the outskirts of the city. Unfortunately, the proximity of the highway means that we will constantly hear the distant noise of passing vehicles. This may not be the ideal place for everyone and not suitable for a full-day trip.

Advantages:
  • Designated walking path.
  • Shaded dense forest offering shade.
  • Less crowded as it is not a popular spot.
Disadvantages:
  • The path is short, about 800 meters, and not suitable for wheelchairs.
  • Close to the highway, so the noise is constantly audible.
  • Lack of any other attractions nearby.

Getting to Debrza Reserve

It was established in 1971 to protect the unique ecosystem of deciduous forest and preserve the richness of local fauna and flora for future generations.

To reach the reserve, you can take city buses number 5 and 6. It is advisable to bring your own food, water, and keep in mind that there are no additional attractions or shops nearby.

Walking Path

While walking, you can admire ancient oaks, linden trees, and hornbeams, as well as encounter deer, hares, and wild birds. The designated walking path is 800 meters long and mainly passes through a heavily shaded old forest. Due to the shade, there may be muddy sections along the way, but even in early spring, this did not significantly hinder us from completing the path.
