W. Orkan Museum, Rabka-Zdrój

The W. Orkan Museum in Rabka-Zdrój is located in the historic wooden church of St. Mary Magdalene. Inside, you will see both parts of the church interior and various ethnographic exhibits.

What can we see in the W. Orkan Museum in Rabka-Zdrój?

In the first few rooms, arranged under the church tower, you will find exhibits from various aspects of life of the old Rabka residents and its surroundings.

Here, you will see exhibits related to shepherding, farming, and various crafts: ceramics, beekeeping, shoemaking, herbalism, folk art, and holiday customs.

The second part of the museum is the interior of the old church with its historic polychrome, altar, and beautiful organs, where organ music concerts are held.

PS. Upon your request, a museum employee will also open the door to the old church wall with over a hundred-year-old teeth placed between the beams!

Outdoor exhibition

While visiting the W. Orkan Museum in Rabka-Zdrój, also pay attention to what is around the church, which is the area of the old church cemetery. Here, you will find several stone tombstones, as well as wooden figures of Jesus on a donkey and the museum's patron, Władysław Orkan.

Workshops at the W. Orkan Museum in Rabka-Zdrój

The museum does not have any special "corners" for children, but for an additional fee, you can paint a wooden bird or color a picture on glass and thus create your own souvenir from this unique place.
