New Beach and Swimming Area in Katowice!

In the northern area of Morawa Pond in Katowice, in the Szopienice district (right next to the border with Sosnowiec), a new swimming area has been created with a sandy beach, a wooden pier, and wooden loungers with a view of the water. There is also a new playground for children, beach volleyball courts, picnic shelters, and designated spots for food trucks. The parking lot can accommodate about 100 cars, but you can also get to the swimming area by tram, bus, or bike.

The main beach is located at the southeastern tip of Morawa Pond, right next to the fire station. This beach, about 100 meters long, is equipped with a sturdy wooden pier, which is very popular, especially among young people who love to jump into the water from it. The beach area is well-maintained, the water is clean, and the wooden loungers provide a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the view of the water while keeping sand off your wet body.

The swimming area has been designed with disabled people and parents with strollers in mind - there are ramps to the beach, changing rooms, and nearby buildings. The path from the tram stop to the swimming area is also accessible for strollers.
